  • The Franklin Mint Christmas Ingot
  • Original Box

The 1976 Christmas Ingot, minted by The Franklin Mint, continues an annual holiday tradition which was begun in 1970. "Christmas Landscape" is an original work of art, designed by Yves Beaujard and sculpture by James Ferrel, which depicts a lovely winter scene with a pair of deer poised under snow-laden branches.  In the distance, clustered about a church, are the houses of a tiny village.

The solid sterling silver proof ingots are issued in limited edition, and each is dated and hallmarked.  The design for each year will never be minted again.  A guarantee of its silver content and the purity of the silver appears on the reverse of the ingot.

It is recommended that you handle the ingot as seldom as possible to help preserve its fine proof finish.  When you do pick it up, always be careful and hold it only by its edges.  Any fingerprints and smudges can be removed with a soft cloth or tissue.
