This teak soap holder smartly drains the water from your soap to keep it firm. It is made from wood that was reclaimed from the handrail of the USNS Simon Bolivar Buckner. It was retired from the Navy in 1990, and sold for scrapping in 1997. Katy’s dad, Craig Skelton, salvaged the wood himself while it was dry-docked in Brownsville, Texas. He creates these soapdishes in his workshop in Corpus Christi, Texas. Each piece varies in size, and maintains the profile of the original handrail. It is large enough to hold a bar of soap and a sponge or scrub-brush.

Care: Rinse and air dry as needed.
